		<description>Dear Sir/Madam,
We are a Grassroot Organization called TWEKEMBE ASSOCIATION CENTRE FOR RURAL SYSTEMS AND DEVELOPMENT (T.A-CRUSADE - UGANDA ), operating in the Communities, Incorporated under the Laws of The Republic of Uganda as a Not for Profit Company, Limited by Guarantee, working amongst the Most Vulnerable Persons in Mukono District, Uganda . T.A-CRUSADE- UGANDA empowers Communities to change difficult Situations into Opportunities that Improve their own Living Standards and Welfare to become Responsible Citizens and break away from the Pangs of Poverty.

Each year, hundreds of families in Nabbaale Sub County lose their beloved ones as a result of the HIV/AIDS Scourge. Consequently families greatly suffer. Children and Youths drop out of Schools and fail to get sustainable options for life. The HIV/AIDS Scourge has had a severe impact in Nabbaale. Ramifications of the pandemic are manifested at the macroeconomic, social and household levels of the economy. The spread of HIV is significantly reducing the area’s active and productive labor force due to the fact that more than half the cases affect people in their prime. Through illness or loss of family members, the capacity of families to meet their basic needs and generate income is acutely impaired. While income generation is a challenge for all Ugandans, unfavorable economic conditions and the turmoil associated with HIV/AIDS profoundly destabilizes the living conditions and coping mechanisms of HIV/AIDS-affected households, for whom social and financial expenses become increasingly burdensome. Nabbaale area has so many Orphans and other Vulnerable children under the care of Grandmothers who as a result of losing their beloved children instead of grieving, they carry on the mantle of looking after the Grand children left behind after the death of their Sons and Daughters. Others in this Vulnerable group do include Child and Youthful family heads, Teen mothers, Victims of split families, Pregnant teenagers, Victims of Domestic Violence. Unfortunately, Government has not put in place a mechanism to take back these people into the mainstream education system leaving them exposed to a lot of vulnerabilities. Uncertainties in life have forced many young people into living on the streets, Prostitution, drug abuse, joining criminal groups and others all in name of searching for survival. Consequently many have been sexually abused, resulting into unwanted pregnancies, contracting deadly diseases like HIV/AIDS.

As a way of Assisting and Re-Integrating these Vulnerable Persons into Society, T.A- CRUSADE - UGANDA has initiated a Community Vocational Training Project in Nakiwate Village, Nabaale Sub County, Mukono District in rented premises to Train and Empower them with Vocational Skills in Hair dressing, Tailoring, Carpentry, Computer Applications, Masonry and Brick laying, Craft making among others, with all these Courses blended with an Entrepreneurship Component which will in turn improve on their income generating potential as we strive to improve on their Livelihood Prospects.

Principally we are requesting for $4500 to purchase Roofing Materials, Doors and Windows for a 5 Class roomed Block (Photo attached) that we have constructed up to Wall plate level using Local Resources for Training Purposes as we wait for a Confirmed Bulky Vocational Training Equipment Donation from Europe for the same Project (Part of this has already arrived i.e. 28 Electric Sewing Machines).

Any contribution towards this intent, whether technical, financial or material would be greatly appreciated .I hope you would like to have a look at our Project Write-up and Construction plan.

Kindly download a few of our Project pictures: - The Project Signpost, Hairdressing Class and our Vocational Training Classroom block under construction.
Looking forward to hearing from you again
Kind regards,
LUTAAYA RONALD
