Irish Cricketer smashes Jamie Heaslip’s Record
Ace Irish Cricketer Trent Johnston took on the ‘Camara Container Challenge’ and set a new record in packing a 40ft container with 600 computers bound for disadvantaged communities in Jamaica. Some more In-Country equipment donations
Camara’s African hubs are continuing to make progress in sourcing equipment locally. Recently Camara Rwanda received an equipment donation from DFID’s (UK Department for International Development) Rwandan Offices. They received CPU’s, servers, some laptops and scanners.

IKEA Computer Bring Day
As part of IKEA’s commitment to environmental sustainability they have asked Camara to organise a Computer Bring Day for this Sat 8th Jan at their IKEA Dublin Store. Vodafone Go Green Recycle Day – 22nd July 2010
Camara attended Vodafone’s recent Go Green Recycle Day, held at their Headquarters, Mountainview, Leopardstown. The event promoted ‘reuse and recycle’ amongst Staff with a swap book scheme for Enable Ireland, recycle your phones with the Vodafone support for the Irish Heart Foundation. Vodafone recently supported Camara in using them to recycle printers.
